Foreign arrivals in South Africa in the first four months of this year were more than 350 000 up on the same period in 2009, Tourism Minister Marthinus van Schalkwyk said on Thursday.

Ivan Israelstam- Employers too often try to remove their older employees from employment to "make way for new blood" or because such employees sometimes move more slowly or "do not fit in any more". However, such older employees are protected by the Employment Equity Act, which prohibits unfair discrimination against an employee on the grounds of his or her age.

Hospitality Property Fund announced on Tuesday it had acquired Westin Grand Cape Town and Arabella Western Cape Hotel and Spa for R715.2 million.
 
Sun International’s revenue falls, resumes dividends

Business Report - Despite tough conditions in its home and overseas markets and earthquake damage to its newly opened casino and hotel in Chile, Sun International's revenue dipped by only 1 percent to R8 billion in the year to June 30 and it has resumed dividend payments that were skipped last year to conserve capital.
